Are Audubon prints originals?
Original plates are hand-coloured engravings sold by dealers at four and five figures. Anything priced like a poster is a reproduction.
What size for a bird print?
A single bird reads well small: 12 × 16 or 16 × 20 on a desk wall or in a hallway. Swans or a coastline want 18 × 36 over a sofa.
