Compared with Fine Art America.
Fine Art America calls itself the world's largest art marketplace and print-on-demand technology company, and the numbers back the name: half a million living artists, ten million images, sixteen production facilities running around the clock. Nearly any image can go on nearly anything: canvas, metal, acrylic, a phone case, a shower curtain, a yoga mat.
If breadth is the brief, nobody offers more. Of Nature and Art is built on the opposite premise: a small collection of nature painting, chosen one work at a time, printed one way.
On AI
Fine Art America lists AI-generated images for sale in categories of their own. For an open marketplace at that scale it is at least an honest arrangement: the work is labelled, and you can steer around it. Our line is different and shorter. Nothing we sell is generated, nothing AI-assisted is accepted, at any stage, in any medium. A painting is evidence of attention; that is the thing we sell.
The prints
Print-on-demand is their engine and ours too; the difference is the menu. There, an image ships on dozens of products. Here, every painting ships one way: giclée on Hahnemühle German Etching, 310 gsm velvet matte, in sizes fitted to the painting's proportions, framed in solid wood or not at all. Open editions from $49. We would rather print one paper well than everything on anything.
